Site managers working for local housebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, which includes both the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes brands, have scooped two prestigious awards in a national competition to find the best-run building sites in Britain. This includes the Senior Site Manager at Barratt Homes’ St Oswald’s View development in Methley.
St Oswald’s View and its Senior Site Manager, Andrew Briddock, originally from Sheffield, gained official recognition with a Pride in the Job Award for the excellent standards on the site. Andrew has been at the company for 19 years, having won a total of 10 National House Building Council (NHBC) Quality Awards and four NHBC Seals of Excellence. Andrew is supported by a brilliant site team, which includes Assistant Site Manager David Kirkby.
Other sites in the region awarded were Ashmeade Park in Pontefract, where Senior Site Manager Ricky Booth was recognised. The awards are dedicated to award site managers who achieve the highest standard in housebuilding.

The Pride in the Job Quality Awards are the most coveted in the housebuilding industry and have been instrumental in driving standards for 38 years. They are awarded after the construction standard setting body, the NHBC, carries out a series of spot check site inspections to select the best-organised and best-quality housing developments.
This award comes on the back of Barratt Developments being awarded five stars by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for customer satisfaction. Barratt is the only major national housebuilder to be ranked as five star by the HBF for the last nine years.
