Happy snappers! Barratt Developments crowns Sheffield’s best amateur photographer

Local housebuilder, Barratt Developments, has announced the winners of its regional photography competition, which was launched to showcase the beauty and hidden gems of the areas in which it builds.

The housebuilder received over 500 entries to the photography competition and after several rounds of shortlists, whittled down the talent to 12 worthy, winning shots which will be showcased in show homes and sales offices across the region.

Amongst the winners was Danielle Needham, a Sixth Form Student from Doncaster, whose stunning image of an otter in North Anston, Sheffield earned her the accolade of Sheffield’s best amateur photographer. Danielle’s picture is now taking pride of place in the sales office at David Wilson Homes’ Gateford Park development in Worksop for prospective buyers to enjoy.

Danielle Needham, commented: “I decided to enter the competition after my Aunt told me about it, I have a passion for nature photography and I thought this would be a great opportunity to show off my work. I’m so happy that this image of the cheeky otter, has won me the title of Sheffield’s best amateur photographer!”

Gemma Rosindale, Sales Manager at Barratt Developments Yorkshire West commented: “We are really impressed with the photographs that were sent in! Each entrant took the time to go out into their local community and capture the natural beauty of the areas in which Barratt Developments’ builds.”
