The UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, McCarthy Stone, which is behind the Stapleton Court Retirement Living development on Tranby Lane, has given Swanland Gardening Group a welcome boost with the donation of ready planted hayracks and planters.
The group, which is part of The Swanland Village Association, plant and cultivate the area around Swanland Pond, to help make the pond a much-admired focal point in the village. The planters will be located next to the War Memorial, which is situated right next to Swanland Pond, and the hayracks will be placed near the village hall and around the pond area.
The Swanland Gardening Group meet up on Monday’s and volunteers take it in turns to water plants and pick up any litter around the area to ensure it remains clean and tidy.
