Local housebuilder, David Wilson Homes, is celebrating the launch of a brand-new development, Heather Croft, in Pickering on Saturday 24th August.

David Wilson Homes has revealed that the new development will contribute a total of £1.4million to Ryedale District Council, to support the community in Pickering and surrounding areas. These funds will be used to sponsor a vast range of local infrastructure such as schools, health facilities, flood defences, transport improvements and open space enhancements. This funding is in addition to David Wilson Homes’ recent donation of £1,500 to support the 100th anniversary of the annual Thornton-le-Dale Show.

As well as building new homes and improving local infrastructure, the Heather Croft development, located on the edge of the North York Moors in the thriving market town of Pickering, will create 89 new jobs in the area. Heather Croft offers 239 homes in total, including a stylish collection of two, three and four-bedroom homes in a range of semi-detached, detached and terrace designs including two-bedroom bungalows in the latter stages of the development. The  first selection of three and four-bedroom homes are available to reserve from £239,995.

Paul Hogan, Sales Director at Barratt Developments Yorkshire East, commented: “As well as building homes and creating jobs, we always look to invest in and enhance our local communities, so they can develop and thrive. We hope these contributions will support residents in the Pickering area, along with those who make their homes at the new development. We encourage those looking for their perfect home to visit Heather Croft and speak with a member of our sales team, who will be more than happy to help.”
