Award winning technology and design agency Quba, working with Octagon, a leading event organiser, secures tender to provide innovative events and ticketing portal for international sponsors of 2018 FIFA World Cup and Wimbledon Tennis Tournament, Budweiser and Stella Artois. The portal is implemented using Quba’s specialist event management tool, Symphony.

Symphony is a complete event management tool kit created by Quba in 2004. The tool allows ambitious companies to comprehensively manage an event from start to finish, including features such as; capturing registrations online, accepting payments online, report scheduling, on site check in, creating branded websites and a powerful API to link with any IT system. Working with previous clients including Jaguar Land Rover, Lacoste and the University of London, Quba now has the opportunity to work with Budweiser and Stella Artois, implementing the Symphony event management tool for the World Cup and Wimbledon tournaments.

World Cup sponsor, Budweiser, has created a unique experience for football fans. The “Bud Boat” allows up to 360 lucky fans to cruise down the River Thames, while enjoying the matches streamed live on a giant viewing screen. Budweiser required a sophisticated event management and booking system to manage the high demand for tickets. Quba used Symphony to create a bespoke events portal that allows Budweiser staff to manage their ticketing allocations and invitations whilst enabling customers to book and pay for tickets.

In addition, Quba used its events expertise to deliver a sophisticated booking system for Stella Artois, a major sponsor of the 2018 Wimbledon tennis tournament. The Symphony tool kit was used to create a solution managing over 600 guests, tending to their ticketing and catering needs, allowing Stella Artois to easily manage all aspects of their corporate hospitality.

Matthew Williams, Managing Director of Quba, said: “Octagon were looking for a company that could deliver an event and ticketing solution that could be tailored to their needs yet turned around very quickly. Our expertise in the field of online event management was vital in enabling us to create a successful solution for these projects”.

“Delivering both projects in tandem was a real challenge, but our experience in processing over 4 million ticket sales to date, coupled with a dedicated team of experienced software and event specialists, meant that we were able to meet this challenge head on.”
