Now rebranded under the banner of Hanwell Solutions Ltd, the group is embracing a single cohesive identity that represents both the significant heritage behind the company and its future direction.
Originally founded in 1990, the company first developed Hanwell-branded products for monitoring historical artefacts and buildings in partnership with the National Trust and the V&A (Victoria & Albert) Museum. The IMC name was created in 2007 with the merger of Lamerholm Electronics Ltd and Hanwell Instruments. Combining the extensive expertise of the NPD teams led to the group pioneering innovative solutions for broader sectors including pharmaceutical, healthcare, food and industrial, and it rapidly became the leader in environmental monitoring solutions across multiple industries, with many blue chip clients based around the world.
Although it also offers a wide range of products including data loggers, radio transmitters and industrial equipment monitors, IMC – now Hanwell Solutions – is renowned in particular for its leadership in monitoring systems, designing and manufacturing British-engineered solutions vital to helping organisations meet the needs of strict pharma, healthcare and food industry regulations across the globe. Its commercial teams are expert not only in the company’s own systems, but also in the regulations and requirements affecting the customer’s operations. This dedication is reinforced by the new brand’s strapline: Ultimate Peace of Mind.
As a result of organic and acquisitive growth, the company had nurtured a range of different product brands and lines, some with significant history behind them. This latest move aims to consolidate and simplify the company’s brands and overall identity to pave the way for future growth and NPD. As a result environmental monitoring solutions will be realigned under the Hanwell brand for clarification, with several options from Hanwell Pro to Hanwell Lite, whilst other product ranges will be repositioned as necessary to better suit the needs of the relevant market sectors.
