Leopold Square is inviting Sheffield buskers to join in with its brand new Busk Stop initiative.
Whilst The Square is once again bringing back live music every Saturday and Sunday (May and September) for its free summer music programme, organisers have been so impressed by some of the city’s talented buskers that they are now offering local musicians space to perform on Fridays.
Whether a guitarist wants to play their own songs, an acapella group would like to entertain visitors, or a classical quartet would like to bring something different, The Square would like to hear from them whatever their musical style.
Each busker will be given an hour set between 5pm and 7pm on a Friday between May and September and is welcome to collect donations from The Square’s visitors and passers-by.
Nick Yates from Leopold Square commented:
“The live music events we hold are always extremely popular and we’re excited to be launching our Busk Stop spot. It provides a perfect opportunity for talented local musicians to showcase their flair and we’re looking forward to bringing a wide range of musical styles to Leopold Square.”
Sheffield based musicians who would like to be part of The Square’s Busk Stop simply need to email LeopoldSquare@pmwcom.co.uk sending through a short video, clip, or link to their music. All space must be pre-booked ad Terms and Conditions can be viewed on Leopold Square’s website.
