Taking influence from the mysterious traditions of alchemic practices, the arrival of bar and restaurant, The Lost & Found Leeds Club, is set to push the boundaries of discovery. Showing a love for libations, ingredients are shaken, smoked, foamed, fizzed and distilled to stir the imagination.
At the helm on Albion Place, mythical Professor Benedict Pike, who specialises in chemistry and is the inspiration behind the avant-garde all-day venue, invites guests to visit the well-laden bar to sample the strange and wonderful concoctions and to feast in the opulent dining room.
DECADENT DÉCOR
Accentuating the beauty of the Grade II listed Victorian building, original features have been expertly restored and, with high ceilings and intricate cornicing, guests are transported to a bygone era. Worldly artefacts and curiosities are playfully positioned throughout, whilst antique brass touches and elegant white Carrera marble are paired with plush velvet and leather furniture delivering on comfort and style.
What’s more, this two-storey hideaway includes a boardroom and a secreted-away drinking den for those seeking to celebrate a special occasion away from prying eyes. Find it and you may never leave.
SEDUCTIVE SERVES
Behind the bars, masters of mixology are hard at work, raiding their apothecary of flasks and bottles to create wildly wonderful concoctions. The menu is comprised of ‘Lost’ and ‘Found’ cocktails with ‘Lost’ drinks including twists on favourite serves from the Lavender Sour, with lavender-infused Absolut vodka, blossom bitters and egg white to the Storm Bronte, a combination of Havana Club 3YO rum, QuiQuiRiQui matalan mescal espadin and San Pellegrino blood orange. ‘Found’ cocktails include the Mountain Meadow with Zubrowka vodka, Briottet Crème de Bergamote, elderflower syrup and a dash of apple juice and the Bay of the Beast with Kraken black spiced rum, Cherry Heering liqueur and Amaretto, finished with a splash of cranberry juice, blackberries and raspberries.
Premium spirits vie for attention alongside a great range of craft beers, whilst an extensive wine list features a range of new and old-world favourites served by the bottle or glass, with prosecco and champagne waiting on ice for any occasion.
A CULINARY ADVENTURE
Embark on a culinary adventure with food inspired by some of Benedict Pike’s travels. Full of flavour and made using seasonal ingredients, expect an array of tempting dishes including lightly dusted squid with Asian slaw and Sriracha mayonnaise; truffle and parmesan arancini as well as a selection of flatbreads with an assortment of toppings. Mains from the Josper grill take centre stage with expertly cooked 28-day aged steaks, seafood and a pork tomahawk with a crispy sage and onion crust.
Crowd pleasing favourites include a Wagyu beef burger topped with caramelised onions, crispy bacon and Monterey Jack cheese with smoky chipotle ketchup whilst hand-finished pizzas range from: peri peri chicken; roasted butternut squash with goat’s curd and kale pesto; and salami peperoni with ‘Nduja.
WONDERFUL WEEKENDS
Weekends are made for brunching, so indulge in bites and bottomless Bloody Marys, Mimosas, Bellinis and prosecco every Saturday & Sunday between 11am ñ 3pm.Smaller dishes are available such as French toast or buttermilk pancakes or for those looking to indulge, tuck into Turkish eggs with whipped yogurt, poached eggs, spicy chorizo and toasted sourdough.
AFTERNOON TEA
Few can resist the temptations of a classic British Afternoon Tea. Perfectly decorated sweet treats and finger sandwiches arranged on an elegant tiered stand are accompanied by the perfect pot of tea and a glass of bubbles. The must-try Gentleman’s Tea features mini piri-piri chicken & Asian slaw flatbread, spiced lamb kofta, and a generous portion of pork scratchings with chili jam.
