Three local site managers from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West have received
top national awards for quality from the National House Building Council (NHBC).
Andy Briddock, from Huddersfield, manages St Oswald’s View in Methley, Josh Corker, from
Sheffield, manages Chapel Lea in Wakefield and James Swann, from Barnsley manages Salters Brook
in Cudworth, Barnsley, have all won a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality award, considered to
be the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry”.
Now in its 40 th year, the Pride in the Job Quality awards recognise the very best site managers from
around the country. In total Barratt Developments site managers won 92 nationally, more than
every other housebuilder. Barratt has now won more Pride in the Jobs Quality awards for 16 years in
a row, a record unmatched in the industry which shows its commitment to building homes of the
highest quality.
Each site manager is judged on a range of key criteria including health and safety, their technical
knowledge, customer service and attention to detail. Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded
competition in the housebuilding industry with just 450 individual winners being chosen from over
11,000 entrants.
This year’s award marks Andy Briddock’s 16th Pride in the Job award, with 12 Pride in the Job
Quality Awards and four Seals of Excellence accolades to his name already. Seals of Excellence
winners are chosen from the Quality Award winners and acknowledge the leadership, passion and
commitment that Andy has demonstrated throughout his career.
