Barratt Developments Yorkshire West, has been giving back to key workers in Leeds and Bradford by donating an afternoon tea experience to Holly Park Care Home near it’s Spring Valley View development in Clayton and Oaklands Care Home near it’s St Oswald’s View development in Methley to thank them for their hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The housebuilder worked with two local caterers to have afternoon tea hampers delivered to the door of the care homes, contact-free, for members of staff and residents to enjoy. Delivered as a well deserved treat for the team and residents, the afternoon tea aimed to create an experience that alleviated some of the stresses experienced by everyone at the care home during lockdown. The hamper contained a mixture of classic sandwiches and sweet treats including scones, flapjack, cupcakes and chocolate brownie.
On the donation Janet McDonald, Home Manager at Holly Park Care Home said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has prevented our residents, and in some cases our staff, from seeing their families for a long time. The team at Holly Park Care Home has worked incredibly hard during the pandemic, even managing to keep the home free of Coronavirus throughout the pandemic.
Gresh Hardowar, Manager at Oaklands Care Home said: “We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying the afternoon tea from Barratt Developments and want to say a big thank you for the donation!”
Jake Helm, Sales Manager at Spring Valley View commented: “We are so pleased that the staff and residents at the care homes enjoyed the afternoon tea donation.”
Gemma Rosindale, Sales Manager at St Oswald’s View commented: “NHS and key workers in the UK have worked tirelessly to keep us all safe, and we are so pleased that we were able to create an experience that they could enjoy to thank them for everything they have done!”
