In the lead up to Sheffield’s Christmas lights switch-on extravaganza on Sunday 17th November, Leopold Square will be getting the city into the celebratory spirit.
Between 12pm and 5pm, a life-size snow globe will be in The Square and visitors will be able to step inside and be part of the magical winter scene, complete with falling snow. It’s the perfect spot for a festive family photo. A free face painter will also be on hand to transform young visitors into their favourite Christmas characters.
Additionally, Leopold Square will be joined by a number of local school and community choirs who will be performing to the crowds. A variety of festive food and drinks will also be available from the many restaurants and bars.
Nick Yates from Leopold Square commented:
“Sheffield’s Christmas lights switch-on spectacular is such a magical event and we’re delighted to be helping the city get into the festive spirit before it’s lit up at 5.30pm. We have something for the whole family and look forward to welcoming everyone along to celebrate with us.”
