Students at Communication Specialist College Doncaster (CSCD) have been putting their heart and soul into developing new products for their enterprise shop.
The onsite shop, which also sells products online, is stocked with items made by the students and includes popular seasonal items including Easter Bunny Boxes and Christmas Reindeer.
Anna Knee, tutor at CSCD, said: “Our students are always looking for ways to expand the range of products they sell, and they have now created a beautiful heart frame.
“The frame is crafted using small sections of branch to make up a shape and while we all agree that the heart design is beautiful, they can custom any shape to give customers a truly unique decoration for their home.
“Our students work hard to create and make these products and then work in the store to sell them, learning important customer service and money handing skills.
“They have developed a loyal customer base and people buy their products from all over the country online. They have even had the privilege of receiving bespoke orders from hotels for their products.”
As this product is individual to each customer it is made to order only and the students welcome requests via email.
The Enterprise shop is now open Monday morning 10am until 12 noon and Tuesday-Thursday 10am until 3pm.
The trades department at Communication Specialist College is always looking for donations of material such as wood or horse shoes for the students to use to make their products. Anyone with any materials to donate should contact the Trades Department on 01302 386700.
