Leopold Square in Sheffield will mark the start of the festive season this Friday 14th November, with a free-to-attend Christmas tree lights switch-on event.
The celebration will run from 4.30pm to 6pm and features live music, seasonal drinks and special offers from the Square’s bars and restaurants.
Singer Emily West will perform a selection of festive songs outside in the Square and do the honours of switching on the lights of Leopold Square’s Christmas tree, signalling the start of the city-centre destination’s Christmas celebrations.

“The Christmas tree lights switch-on is marking the official start of the festive period here in the heart of Sheffield, and we’re delighted to have Emily West performing and lighting up the square.

Emily West will perform live in Leopold Square between 4.30pm and 6pm, before leading the countdown and switching on the Christmas tree lights at 6pm. Bars and restaurants throughout the Square will remain open for their usual Friday opening hours.
