In our latest audio installation project, we’re proud to have delivered a premium sound solution at Toast Bar in Leeds, enhancing the venue’s live music and entertainment capabilities. The new system features six Martin Audio X10 Mid/Top speakers, expertly mounted using Powerdrive wall mount brackets to ensure optimal sound dispersion and coverage across the space.
Complementing the high- and mid-frequency clarity of the X10s, two Martin Audio X115 bass speakers were added to provide powerful, punchy low-end response—ideal for everything from live bands to DJ sets.
The entire system is driven by four reliable Crown amplifiers, precisely matched to the speaker configuration for maximum efficiency and audio fidelity. A DBX 2-way stereo crossover ensures seamless signal routing between components, delivering a clean, balanced output tailored to the acoustics of the venue.
One of the key objectives of the installation was to integrate the system with the client’s existing equipment while also increasing flexibility for live performances. We successfully retained their Cloud mixer, now seamlessly interfaced with the new hardware, and added two additional input plates to accommodate a new Yamaha digital mixer.
This setup allows bands and touring acts to plug in directly with minimal setup time, significantly improving workflow for both performers and venue staff. To complete the live sound package, we supplied and configured three Shure SM58 microphones—renowned for their durability and vocal clarity—ensuring performers have professional-grade tools at their disposal.
Beyond live music, we engineered the system to support the venue’s broader audio needs. Two Sky TV boxes and a dedicated Spotify streaming source have been integrated into the main audio routing, allowing staff to easily switch between background music, sports broadcasts, and special events at the touch of a button. This multi-source capability streamlines operations and enhances the customer experience, whether guests are enjoying a quiet drink, watching a major sporting event, or experiencing a live gig.
Every element of the installation was designed with both performance and practicality in mind. Cabling was routed discreetly to maintain the aesthetic of the space, and all components were securely mounted and tested for long-term reliability. The result is a robust, versatile, and high-fidelity sound system that meets the diverse demands of a modern entertainment venue.
